41.6 WOW RIDE TO CENTERVILLE

Great ride with WOW! Yeah I'm in the middle and were's my bike?  It's on the side fence.

Oh and the lady all the way to the left watch out for her she is cannibalistic. On the ride she was sizing up the other riders and calling them carrots.  😁   So she might be a bunny disguised as a human.

Oh man am I feeling it in my legs, but it was a good ride with good people.   Had two dogs chase me, but nope there no way they could keep up.    On the way back now came around a corner and eeee gaaaa a semi truck was taking up both side of the road on a turn.  I think he stopped to let us go through.  That was kind of unnerving.

One of our ladies had a flat, but that was quickly taken care of.

I decided to do a Sprint on El Monte Ave which is exactly 0.5 miles long.   Got up to 25 mph and my hunger meter turn on at the end.  OMG!    No one caught me.  Snicker, Snicker.

About 4 of us stopped by Bellacino's Cafe for yummy's   That was nice.
THANK YOU!!😄  Kathryn  Hass for the coffee.  💓   It was delicious.

Tomorrow is a rest day.  Then Friday it's back to Centerville with another group ride.

12.6 EASY RIDE WITH HUBBY.

Just a lazy day ride with hubby thought the park.

Just doing some number crunching to see how many calories I burned for July.
24,980.   So I was averaging 805 calories a day.   So if I keep this up I should lose more weight.

I really like going back and seeing my progress it keeps me motivated to do better.

50.1 MIles & THANK YOU BIKE DR MIKE

Good ride today.  Did a 12 mile ride with hubby, then kept going by myself.  Around in circles we go.

Well I had the Dr Look at my bike and he told me the patient was a little ill. my bike needed some extra care.     The Chain was worn out, I has a slow leak in on the back tire,  a rod was broken and and my handle bar tape was very ragged.   So Bike Dr Mike fixed up my bike pretty darn nice.   And for all his hard work he's put into my bike, I painted him a personalized 50 poster.   With out Bike Dr Mike I would be doing this.

And whoa with the new chain I really felt a difference.  I zoomed along.

Had a heart pounding moment on the bike path.  A tiny black Chihuahua had gotten away from it's owner and was running high speed down the path with the leash dragging behind.  LUNA was the dogs name.  I felt sorry for the guy, because he had no chance of catching his dog.  So I ask him do you want me to stop the dog. He was like OMG Yes and thank you.   So I turned around and found the four little paws of running fury.   I think I scared it when I started call it's name. It stopped dead in it's tracks and look at me in a way that was like say what?   Then it's was like oh were daddy.  So I didn't have to catch it, I just gave it a nudge. And it ran all the way back.

Another interesting moment was seeing a deer right beside the road.  I was like please stay put.

And on the way home I was looking out for the peacock and as I'm looking to make sure were they are, it comes out of the bushes right in front of me.   REALLY I swear there waiting for me.

So on to the next bike ride.

NORTH POLE

Decided to hang out at the North Pole today and watch the races.  You could say it was cold.
And cycling in snow is not my cup of tea.  So I just watched.

Were can a bike not go?
If someone designed a lava proof cycling suite some one would ride there bike in lava.
So I'm going to find the nearest coffee shop and warm up.   Till next time.

40 MILES & SPEED TRAINING

WOW!   Yeah today was hard, not so much the ride out and back, but the intervals, they started out easy then got seriously hard.  I was only able to do one set and I was out of breath and breathing hard.  My friend Chris bested me by doing it three times.   OMFrickenG.   So yeah being my first time I got to do this more.
Today's, Tomorrow Menu
1.  Suffering Al Cart.
2. Suffering with a side of suffering.
3. Stuffed suffering with suffering on the side.
Other wise is was a good hard ride.

I stopped for a break next to a dog pen and a border collie was stalking me, his tail was straight and he was locked on to me like a scud missile with four legs.   It was really kind of funny and good thing there was a fence.

When I took a break I was running out of water I ask the guy gardening across the street if I could use his hose to get water and he let me get cold ice water from his cooler.  Ahhhhhh   That was nice.

On the way home I hit pot hole and I heard the rod snap.   Uhhhggggg.    Before I left I checked all the rods and they were all fine, not lose.  So bummer.

There is a ride tomorrow and I would do it, but with my rod & chain needing to be fix, tomorrow will be break day.

I stop doing the Fun 50 because it is just way to hot. 105 today. 111 yesterday and it's not letting up.  Heat wave sucks.   I've been doing all my rides early in the morning.

Cycling does work.

40 MILES & OPP'S

I was suppose to meet up with WOW. Women on wheels.
I saw on the message board that we would be rolling out a 8:01.   And just looking at it right now is says 7:01.   Well dang.  So I was a hour late.   Better luck next time.

Other wise I still had a good ride through the park and managed to get a 40 miles ride in.   Today was not my best day for riding, but I pushed my self to get a good ride in.   Because it's fricken hot here 108 degrees.  And the sucky part isn't not cooling off after 6, 7 or 8 tonight.  Bleh.

I love riding next to water it's always 3 to 4 degrees cooler, once I get away from water the temperature goes up 4 degrees.
As I was riding home the temperature gauge was creeping up from 96, 97 and then finally 99 and 100.  Bleh.

NEW CYCLING GOALS

1.  Do 50 miles twice a week. I'm not really fond of triple digits riding.  If the weather cools down I might try to go for 100.

2. Train and research video's  for doing a double century.

3. When the weather cools go for 100 miles.

4. Get better at going up hill.

5. Drink more coffee. 😜

So yeah I have a lot on my plate.
