SPINNING MY BRAINS OUT
LISTENING TO FAT RAT UNITY!!!!!
This is great riding music! Up beat.
Feeling really good after 1 hour spinning class. Yes it's hard, yes I totally wore my self out and yes my legs were burning a good burn. And Yes I drove the class nuts. I was slapping my thigh's to the beat of the music and to focus on doing more standing on the bike, apparently I got reprimanded from David.
Between David, Hass and Wiesinger I'm screwed. 😉
I ginned and push my self today, and yes I could feel it in my legs. Dang. And guess what I'm going to ride with the Friday group up Cohasset. Tomorrow was suppose to be my break day, ha ha.
Well I'm sore, but I'm not achy or stiff. Later today I'm going back over to NS Fit to play some racqueteeball, yes the spelling is intentional. I getting really addicted to it, after a hard work out it feel really good to lose up my legs and body. So yes I like to fling my self around around for no apparent reason, it's fun. So today in a 1 hour class of spinning I burned 1,070 calories. And if I decided to play a hour of racqueteeball I'll burn another 500 calories. So total 1,570 calories total.

Just had to share this with you. OMFG!

16 Miles NORTH RIM TRAINING (HILL TRAINING)
I can't believe it I got new batteries for my speedometer and it still did not work? (?) So I have a friend that live super close to were I live, so I got the mileage from her bike. So today we did hill intervals with standing. Yeah! Not exactly my strong point, but I did it and it wears me out a lot faster. I'm hell on wheels when I'm sitting, but become mush when I stand. Oh well. So we only did 16 miles, not a long ride. The best part of the ride was the kids. OMG! It took some a while to catch on to my jersey, but some got it right away and started yelling COOKIE MONSTER!!!!! LOL There was one little girl who was standing with her mom and excitingly waving at me so cute.
I think my bike is going to need therapy, it's started to cry. My gears kept slipping, so every time I stood up and peddled I would be fine for a while then the gear would slip, that was really frustrating and slowed me down really bad. In fact I had to stop two time to see if my bike was still alive. I had to preform CPR several times, to keep it going. Giving a bike CPR is not easy. Well this got me aways behind the group, but I kept plugging along and I went around when I got back to the starting point no one was there except for two riders, so I didn't know if they left or when around again. I just assumed they went around, so I did another lap. Then when I got done I realized they were gone. So at least I knew were I was. Not really upset, because I was really slow. Oh my lower back was hurting, but amazingly when I got off the bike it went away pretty quickly, so that was nice.
Now when I got home I had a unexpected surprise Betsy I guess had notice I was not with the group and went looking for me. (Thank you) My hubby and her and the neighbor were stressing because I was not home. So I came home to three people looking really stressed. I'm safe, just really tired.
And guess what I'm doing tomorrow? Spinning class with more standing. I get to look at Neil Armstrong on a big screen TV and feel really small. LOL

12.1 Miles 10/15/2017
So yeah went out again for a little ride. Was joining my hubby for a short afternoon ride and right out the door I realized his back tire was bent. :( Awwwww so he had to head home, he was ok with me going on. So by my self I did the park loop with my flashy blinkee light I got from Betsy. ;)
I do believe that is the latest I been out on a bike ride. The park is really still and quiet and 1 mile was every still, not a ripple on the water, very quiet. So yeah I rode 43.2 + 12.1 = 56.4 miles total.
When I got home chef hubby made spaghetti, yummy. So no riding tomorrow.

43.2 Miles NORTH RIM TRAINING
Well phtttt my speedometer died. Again! Great 43.2 mile ride. I have a friend who live close to me so I was able to get a accurate mileage. So I started off the ride with coming across a black cat with a horrible stick and big thorn stuck in it's paw. I tried my best to call it over to remove the stick from it's paw, but I think it was feral. :( Poor little kitty. It just have jumped down off a fence onto the stick. I ran away from me, don't blame it, a huge blue creature with googly eyes is not exactly what a cat see's as friendly. And I have no desire to run into some one back yard chasing a cat. :( So I can only hope he worked it free him self.
So here my specs.
43.2 miles
17.5 Average speed. Everyone in my group average were between 18ish and 17ish so I'll go low.
What did we do? We practiced roatiating pace line like the one shown in the picture and we also did this in reverse, depending on the wind direction. We were flying, out group leader was almost in tears because everyone was spot on. The ride was very smooth and hell a fast. Another leader who ride a mountain bike also mention that we came back to Chico and it was still 11:00, so I think he was a bit amazed that we were going that fast.
As we came into Chico I was feeling really tired, between hitting the gym and riding my legs were burning. So I hung out at the back for the next two miles.
Wednesday we will be doing Hill training.
On the way home I got another surprise a Doe who seemed to be very frightened was running behind my bike for a while, that was unexpected.
Taking a break tomorrow and possibly hitting the gym to do some more core work.

23.9 MILES NORTH RIM & WIND
Just an easy ride to day in the (WIND!)
Headed out with North rim today to practice rotating left and right pace lines in the wind. Well at least we were not eating dust. It was a much shorter ride due to the high winds, so tomorrow we'll be going further.
Had to skip out on coffee at Bidwell Perk, bummer. Oh well.
At the end of the ride we all sprinted into the wind. The most I could manage was 22 to 23 mph and I burnt out pretty fast. That was hard.
Wait 26 mph? But you said you burnt out a 22 & 23. Ahhh but this is going home on El Monte Drive. Bwhahahaha and the wind was less.
Oh ward and forward tomorrow......
