6,000 MILES IN SIGHT.

32.20 MILES & DOUBLE YUCK!

Yesterday I watched a bunch of lawn fleas aka starlings,  totally taking over this big bush, stop by to see what they were eating and discovered it's a mulberry bush.  I tried a ripe one and yeah so sour, had to spit it out. Yuck!   There is one closer to were I live and it's white and taste like honey and apples. Yummy.  So the birds can have this one.
Hammer gel?    Yeah.   Sorry this is the second time I tried this gel and it does not agree with me at all.  Sort of like eating hair gel with food flavoring.  No I do not dine on hair gel.  So double yuck.  Sticking to my Cliff Gel.

My hubby could not find the phone to call me, so he started to get worried.  He jumped on the bike and came looking for me.
It was a very slow ride home.  9 mph.

METRIC FIRE GROUP RIDE

This Wednesday I will be hosting a Metric Century ride, which will actually be a little over 65 miles.  This is going to be an endurance ride, so no 18 to 19 mph.  Our average speed is going to be between 15 and 16 and if it's windy 12.

Why Metric Fire?  Well it's summer and when your riding we're going to be burning at the same time.  It's suppose to be cool Wednesday, so let's hope the weather man is right this time.

What I'm hoping for is that people like this ride and we can do it every other Wednesday.  So we will see what happens.   I like going further, and besides, it's all about conditioning, the more you condition the further you can go.

MY NEW CYCLING JERSEY!

 LOL
I have to modify it a bit.   But I'm sure the womens WOW group and Friday group ride won't mind me wearing my new Jersey on group rides.  😆

Believe you me, cars will definitely see me!

No don't worry I'm not that sadistic I will not be dressing up as a huge teddy bear on the rides.  So you all can take a big sigh of relief.

42.1 MILES AND WILDFLOWERS

42 miles Hot and a great ride.  I stopped here and there to take some pictures of some new wild flowers along the way.
A life behind bars.
Um feeling a little stupid I don't know what these are.  Usually I'm good at identifying flowers.

WOW look at the blue!   I miss my Ricoh camera is was the best camera I had.   Oh well.   When I was in the cook island I slipped on a slimy rock on the ocean edge and the strap came off around my neck and it hit another rock hard, but did not fall in the water.  The damage was too much.  However I was fine, just wet.  I cried and am still crying.  Oh well move on.

 Shade.

Yeah it's hot, but not as hot as it going to get.
There was a huge party going on at Wild wood it look like a fraternity and sorority got  together and were having a party.  What caught my eye was their games.  Flamingo ring toss, a huge Jenga and a huge connect four.    Soon after I took this picture a little boy was drawn to this and he was just like WOW!   It's here and no body is playing with this, so I'm going to play with it.   LOL   A moment later he was scolded by his mother to leave it alone.   Ahhh poor guy.
 Big wild rose bush.

Looking back at one of the bridges I cross on my rides.

War paint.    My god my skin looks like a plucked chicken.

Again I have no idea what this is.  But the bee's love it and it's Beeutiful.

What amazing is that this is the same field the beginning January were these yellow plants are now.  Amazing how nature is constantly changing.

NOT DOING A DAMN THING!

Today is a rest day. Not cycling or going to the gym.  Was going to join the WOW group, but my body had other plans. The night before was one of those nights were no matter what I could not fall asleep, so bad night. It caught up with me this morning.  And my ankle on the right side is a bit sore.  So yeah flake day.

25.37 MILES & VOLUNTERRING FOR THE AIRPORT CRITS

Volunteered for the 2018 Airport Criterium today.  I made sure everyone signed in and got the right class numbers for the race.   I got there a hour and a half early and was Wabbit hunting.  There were Jack rabbits all over the place, so as I rode in circles I kept my eye out so I could take a picture on one.  Did I get a video or picture.  No.  All I could see is ears sticking up out of the grass.   LOL
 Were are all the people?
Oh there they are.  :)  Lot's of people signed in and got there numbers.  There was a Junior class to.
Waiting for things to get started.
This is team tag!  When your having a hard time tagging your self, you team up with someone else and it helps.

I'll be going back on the 8th to do this all over again.  :)

Having the wind at my back.

Riding into the wind. LOL
