40.87 MILES & HAVING FUN

I'm on a roll and each day is getting better and better.   Decided to wear my Cookie Monster Jersey.  It's not that I didn't like it, but wearing it every day was getting really old.  Now I have choices and lot's of  Jerseys to wear, Thanks to my Critters.

Was a bit sad today, because the Air Port Criterium is over with.
OH WOW! Look what I found.  I just sat down and starting eating them hand fulls over hand fulls.  LOL NO!   God No!

I think there snow berries and snow berries are edible.  But as a forager I also know that a lot of edible berries and what not have similar looking species that can make you very sick.  For instant people get Elderberries confused for Poke Berries.  Elderberries are poisonous until cooked right, Poke berries are toxic.    So time to do some digging and make sure these are what they are.

 Taking a break.

Weeds I think not.   Diverse Ecosystem. Yes.   Just sit down next to your weeds and you'll see a vast array of insects and other crawlies.    There was a damsel fly working over the bush looking for edible smaller insects.  A damsel fly is a smaller version of a dragon fly.
I knocked and no one was home.  LOL
I wonder who creeps in an out of this mouse hole at night.

I was kind of sad to see it like this, that last time I saw it, it was more whimsical with the vines growing around the hole.

34.06 MILES & ROLLING ALONG!

Great day for a ride, but then every day is a great day for a ride.   Just me and my bike going in circles.
No sprinting today, my lower back was a little sore.

Nothing that exciting other than a guy in his huge truck turning around in the road in front of me, he did see me and he did wait for me to go by behind him.   Then as I was riding away I heard metal crunching metal.   He gunned it forward and hit a park car.

My two wheeled friend that goes with me every where.

There is a 200 mile Club ride coming up and even a 300 mile one.  I'll pass on the 300 mile one, but the 200 one I'll try.   And I want to challenge my self.  Hell if I get to 110  again I'll be happy, if I get to 120 I'll be ecstatic!  If I get to 200 I'll pass out, literally.
So well see what happens.   But at least I can say I tried.

33.40 MILES & A GOOD RIDE.

Headed out the door today wearing my new Wildflower Jersey.
I was thinking about the Club Climb and it reminded me very much of the Pie Ride.  Not the going part, but the part where we headed back into the wind.     No wind with the Club Climb, but the climbing was like going into a head wind.
And you guys didn't believe me when I said there's a truck out there with our WOW group jerseys colors.  LOL

Every time people see us, they're going to think of this company.   We should get royalties for advertising.  LOL

Taking break at my favorite water hole.   By far this has got to be the best water in the park, no matter how hot it gets, it's always cold and taste good.  The other fountains not so much.

Well no I did not gain weight. Yes I have a freak out.  I was super tired.  I figured out the problem, the jersey short were white and they have a band that pushes in on my legs, my black jersey short have no band.   So yeah I don't have Stat puff Marshmallow legs.  And the fact the picture was taken at a closer angle.   So that's that.
 Going home.

Getting my speed back up.  I held onto 27 mph for about 1 minute and 28 mph for about a second.   And this time no going down hill this was on the flat.

 Happy day.

Hello!  This is Fiona who greet me at the door when I get home.   Fiona "Where is my treat & Pettums"!

FEELING RELIVED!

I am so happy, it's been over 6 months and my Bernard Roth Syndrome has been at bay.   I had one tiny blip on a ride and that was all.   So let's hope it stays like this.   It was flaring up ever 4 months.   I have no idea what set's it off.    The last flair up I had, happened on a ride, riding home from Horse Shoe pond was beyond painful.  When I got home I literally could not walk up to the door to get Chris I called him on the phone and told him to get the crutches.
So hoping for another 6 months of no pain.  ;)

60.41 MILES, CLUB RIDE & KICKING MY OWN ASS.

Today was ass kicking day.   This time I believe I was 5 miles shy of the top.   That's totally fine, it was a hard ride.
Considering I road to Paradise this Wednesday with the WOW group and did it again today with even going further. So I'm happy and equally sore.
We had 23 people on this ride, that a lot and it make it that much more fun.
John doing what John does best, telling people what to do.  LOL
 On our way.

Yes I got dropped like you would not believe. LOL   So on I go.
 Taking a break.
How fun there were a ton of Silver Dollar plants all over the place.
It's cool to see the seeds inside.  And when it's windy you can hear the seed inside rattle.
 On I go.

At the end of the of the bike path making my way to Coutolenc rd.
 Beautiful.

I do believe I made it 1 1/2 miles pass this point before I met the group coming back down.
Grubbing.   On the way back down to Chico.

I'm Pooped.   I has to stop and take a break and watch them drop me.

Look who I met up with.  LOL
I met some of these guys as I was just getting into Paradise.  They were just returning from their ride.

 I'm sore.
 Did I mention I'm sore.
 Still Sore.

This is from all the climbing.
