HARD 12.6 MILES RIDE.

No not a long ride, but a very hard ride for me that is.  This time I pushed the metal to the peddle and road as hard as I could continuously.  Heart rate up and pounding and out of breath and sweating.

Isn't my bike a beauty. I love my bike.

Got to 1 mile and took a break.
I really like looking at this art piece, because I've done all the miles on it. Maybe not to the exact places,  but I've done the miles.    The first time I saw the 75 miles & 100 miles I was let's do this.   And I did.

The states on what it took me to get here.

😁  I like.   17.5 average speed.

That's better.  Now you can see it.
OH! NO!   My riding partner fell off his bike.  😨

Some little kid will come along and have a blast with finding this, so I left him right were he was.      I'm sure he'll be fine.
If I keep this up and use my head I'll get faster.

 1/24/2017    to  Now
12.8 miles          12.6
1:01:23               45:22
12.8 AVG-S        17.0
24.0 MAX-S       23.6
830 Calories        630 (????)
2.5 Co2

Oh yeah as you drop weight you lose less calories.  That explains the 830 to 630.
I think there is an improvement. 😉

I might go for seconds later today, but a easy ride with hubby.

12 MILES 7/21/2017 With Cookie Monster

Yes a second helping of riding with hubby.   He took the short 8 mile route and I did the 12 mile route.  And he waited for me on the a bench by 1 mile.     Yes it was hot, but I was not doing the 50 and I had my Spruzza filled and working.   So yeah I was hot, but not over heated.

So here is the end results for today's two part ride.

Something I forgot to add to the last blog.
I aced the departing pace line, by missing the turn so I was riding on side roads trying to get back. LOL   What a way to start the ride.

40.3 TOUR DE FRIDAY & COFFEE WITH GOOD PEOPLE

OMG what a difference from the Fun 50 on Wednesday 😲
Wednesday was hot as hell on wheels, it was so hot.  This morning it was beautiful, cool and the ride was invigorating, loved every mile of it.
This particular ride was called TOUR DE FRIDAY. The whole route was 35 miles + going and coming from home made it 40.3 miles   I love the route and would do it again in a heart beat.  And everyone went at a nice clip.   So yes I'm happy.
Taking a selfie with a new friend.   And I'm going to join a women cycling club called WOW. 😊   So next Wednesday morning well be headed to Centerville.   YES!

Taking a break at a park near Durham.  And the bathrooms were open.   That is very important.
Beautiful park.  Chris and I will have to go their for a pick nick.
35 miles later getting to our destination.
I think Beatniks need to pay attention to their times on their bake good.  One of the muffins had mold on it.   😖  Yuck.    No one got stick, but still.  So buy a muffin their watch out.
 Stashing Bikes in the bushes.
Oh man the line was so long in their.  Here is where we were seated.
Oh yeah. When you bring your own coffee, you  don't have to wait in line.    Cup of ice.  Cup of hot water.  My own coffee and filter.  😁     Hell yeah.

mmmmmmmmmmm nom nom nom nom.     Coffee after a good bike ride is amazing.   😋

FUN 50 PROGRESS REPORT & NEW IDEAS

My first Fun 50 was 5/17/07  And well it is what it is, the first two rides I did the speedometer were acting squiffy.  So little to no data bummer.  Another thing I got to do is start taking advantage of the fact that my speedometer is equipt to read two bikes.  Bike A and Bike B.  So I got to use Bike A for the warm up then remember to switch it over to bike B for the 50 so I can keep track of the information better.   Every thing is really sketchy.

FUN 50
5/17/2017  Avg 15.8 Max 23.4  MY FIRST RIDE
5/24/2017  Speedometer did not read. :(  23 miles.
5/31/2017   Bike down.
6/7/2017     I was sick
6/14/2017   53.1  miles Avg 15.3 Max 24.7  Hours 3:31
6/21/28       Sizzling  HOT
7/5/2017     40 miles Avrage 14.9 Max 22.8  Hours 2:47hours
7/12/2017   Taking a break.
7/19/2017   36.0 Average speed 15.2 Max 23.3  Hours 2:02

Wow I've only done 5 rides and it feels like I did lot's more, that's crazy.    Wow the 19th brutal for me with the heat.     As you can see my warm up rides are not helping me see my progress.   So Bike A & Bike B.  Now all I have to do is kick my self in the butt and remember.

Another thing that I've got to work on letting other people yell out car this or that.   I yelled out car right when the car was on the left.   Yeah that's going to make me a winner.  (being sarcastic)   Having Dyslexia and cycling oh the joy again being sarcastic.
So keep my mouth shut.
Follow the bike in front of me.
Listen to Dave.  If I don't forget what he looks like again.  LOL
Try to peddle with out coasting and keep at lest three feet from the bike in front of me.
On to the next ride.
Going to do the Tour De Friday tomorrow.

36.0 MILES OF SUFFERING

My speedometer read 30 miles an hour.  I hit the rest set button opp's  So I really rode 36 miles.
And the picture to the left of the pace line.  I was the last person in line, I was far enough back when I did this.  I would never do this inside the pace line.

Wow this is the first fun 50 were I suffered.  It was so hot I was hugging and kissing my spurzza mister all the way.  When I got to the half way mark I had to stop and cool down.   And Yeah I got dropped big time.   A nice guy named Dave stayed with me the whole time and encouraged me.   He was telling me he ride 500 miles in 7 days.  Dang!!!!   He also was giving me tips about riding the whole way.   That was good.  I need to know what to do.
I stop by Star Bucks to take a break and get some more water and took a picture of my average speed.  Of course when I got home it's not as high.

H20  Yeah I was tired and hot.
 36 miles     zzzzzzzzzzzz

12.5 MILES

Feeling better.   Went a little faster this time.   I went exactly 1 months 2 week and 2 days of not breaking any spokes aka rods.  When I got home and just rolled up to the door I heard pop, look down and shook my head.

Well in other news I have more weight, but now for the really weird part, I've gained muscle so it kind of cancel the weight loss part out.  Kind of.  I research it on line and it is possible to lose weight out out losing weight in numbers.   Sound confusing, it is confusing.   I really thought I was not losing any more weight, but I did some reference pictures and compared them to older reference pictures and yup I've gone down.

And still in other news.  I've been sticking to home made coffee Yaaa!   165 calories instead of 425 calories.  I have not had a Dutch Brothers in
6 days.   So yeah I'm still drinking coffee, but I'm crossing my finger and hoping this will last.

Going to take my bike to the Bike Dr Mike tomorrow to get the rod fix tomorrow.   And dang it just occurred to me, I rode inside the park yesterday and low and behold a spoke breaks.  I've got to stay out of the park on the road going to 1 mile, that's the problem, too many pot holes.

Oh one more thing I totally rock.  I came around a corner at 18 miles an hour, got blinded by the sun and road right into a section of lose gravle.  And I stayed on the bike with out falling off.
As soon as I realized my mistake I stopped peddling and went with the momentum of the bike and let the bike just keep going until it got out of the gravel and back onto the pavement.  Yeah I was scared, but I just went with the flow.

690 calories.

12.6 MILES: RIDINGS BACK ON THE MENU!

If your a Lord of the Ring fan you'll know what I mean by Riding's back on the menu.  😁

Well 1 week and three day later, I feel refreshed and ready to get back to what I love.  Started out easy today, no sense in doing a hard ride after such a long down time.    My legs woke up to day with a vengeance, like "Hey you, yeah you!  Why are you not on the bike already.    It's just funny how the whole time before they were dead, no so much as a peep.   So whew that's over with and done.

18.96 miles and I'll have beaten last year miles.

Hubby Check!

 Spruzza Mister Check!
 Speedometer Check!

Special Designer Riding shoe's with paint. Check. It's really the paint chips, that the secret.

 810 calories.

Dang I've only gone 17 miles sense I've got my speedometer!    No I had to reset it.   Talk about a pain.  I sat on the floor next to the bike trying to get the computer to pair.  Ugghhhh!   I got tired cut off the ties and bingo it Paired right off the bat.   So yeah.
