ANNOYED

Yes I'm a annoyed! I was suppose to join the WOW group for a ride today. So here is why I didn't. :(   Last night around 4 I woke up and the back of my left leg was feeling tight and it was hard to walk on.  I was like oh it will be gone by morning....nope!   I think I have a superficial blood clot.  Because it's tightening and affecting my gait. Yeah I can walk, but I'm leaning to one side with a limp.
Riding like this is impossible when it's so close to the knee it's self.   So yeah every thing was all ready, my bike, new bike bag for the back with more room for more things.
So    uggghhhhhh!!!!

I'm going to try again for Friday!

On a funny note.
WOW to all my friend has another meaning.   WOW to them means World of War Craft which is a video game.   So I had a good laugh when everyone was like you join World of War Craft.   LOL

7.8 Miles & 1 HOUR 10 MINTUES IN THE GYM.

Trying to get back into the routine of exercising.  Doing the hill climbing last Sunday yeah it was hard, but it reset my legs and they would not shut up....so I was like time to go to the gym.   No I did not ride in the rain, I got on one of the stationary bikes and peddle a whopping 7 miles.   I also did squats with the medicin balls, but I need to start working on my mid section too.
Working out felt good and I do believe my ache in my chest is not my lungs, but rather just sore muscle from all the coughing I did.  So that's a good thing.    No racquetball today.   But I am feeling better.   I'm positive the more I exercise the better I'll feel and pretty soon I'll be back to my old self.
So  January 2018 is starting out slow.  No big deal.  I just end it with a big finish. ;)  I'll cycle to Mt Everest and Back.
Looking forward to the 21 and riding up Clark Rd.   What every happens, happens.  I'm crossing my finders that my breathing with be better and I won't be wheezing all the way up.    In other news I have cleared 5000 miles of riding as of today, sense I started this crazy adventure.  For me that's pretty cool, with or without a stash.

The new word of the day because I can.
STASHTACULAR:    When you complete a awesome ride with more than five people who also have stashes.

14.4 Miles & Wheezing all the way.

Yes I showed up and I got my 25 points.   What exactly 25 points mean I have no idea.   What I do know is I'm not in category A, B or C.   LOL  More like category W for WTF?
Oh man I know now that I was not at my best today.  And whole crap crackers I got dropped.   I made it all the way to the top wheezing and gasping for air the whole way up.  Average?  5.5 mile per hour.   It took me 34:34 minutes to get to the top and it took every thing I had to keep peddling.  This hill should have not killed me like that.   I felt really bad for doing such a shitty ride.  :(    Put it this way this small 14.4 miles ride kick me on my ass I came home and I crashed.   So I guess I know have my answer, no the Asthmatic Bronchitis is not gone.   When I lean forward I can feel my whole left lung which is very sore and very weird feeling.
Last September 13, 2017 on the group ride to Paradise I did so much better,  my average speed was 12.8.   And even my first ride to the Cohasset store the average speed is 12.2.  Heck looking at all my climbs averages this has got to be the worst one.    If I had not had such a hard time breathing I would have worked my way up that hill faster than 43 mintues.   Doing this ride twice?  No.  I about killed my self doing it once.   The best part of the whole ride was riding down 32 back into the Valley now that was really cool.

PASKENTA & HILL CLIMBING

Due to the medication I'm taking for my Asthmatic Bronchitis it has really help me in my stash growth for the 100 mile Paskenta ride on February 4th.  I'm going to need all the stash I have to complete this ride.  Stunning I know.  Don't get too jealous, because I'm sporting a award winning stash.   Some of the other riders stashes don't even live up to mine, so they will just have to deal with it.

The good news I'm doing the ride tomorrow and more good news my Jersey showed up, a bit tight, but oh well Raaaawwwwww.  Mens & Women sizes I'm kind of (****), they just assumed all cyclist have the same chest size.  Oh well.

So tomorrow is going to be really interesting.  My hubby thinks I'm going to be coming home early due to shortness of breath, well only one way to find out.   Go out and try to do a ride, then determine if I can breath or not.     But my poor legs are wanting to move.  So yeah haw.

So Bruce rd and Stilson Canyon Road (Humbolt rd) which is just before Hwy 32?   That not very far were I live.    I just hope I show up at the right area.

Here is the dates and challenge list of series 2:
Jan 7 Humbolt x2 9am   This one tomorrow.
Jan 21 Clark Rd 9am
Feb 11 Pentz Rd 9am
Feb 18 Cherokee Rd 9am
March 4 Table Mtn (Backside)
March 18 Hwy 70 9am

Been off the bike for a week and 6 days.  Ready to get back to riding.

2018 & MY THOUGHT ON NEW YEARS REZZOLUTIONS.

And here we go again.  Another new year.  I'm still unable to ride, my legs hate my guts and it is what it is. And I have a definite diagnosis  Asthmatic Bronchitis.  Bleh.   I can't ride, but hell I can blog.  So I'll blog my way into the new year.  Feeling the burn in my fingers.   uhhhh the pain the agony.  Keep typing.
Ok what is with the fatigued guy on the left?

Why post a person who look refreshed and happy when you can post someone that just gave there all.

As for new year resolutions.   I say phhtttttttt.    404 not found.
You should not use the beginning of the new year as a standard to make goals.   I never have and never will.   But these are the most common ones.
What you want to do:
Lose weight ya de ya de ya da and you make all these great plans and those plans are top with even more plans and top with a big heaping pile of more plans.   And your then you look at your plate and it's so full of plans that you get overwhelmed and give up.

Here is some of my tips to reaching your goals what ever they may be.
1. Start out small and mundane.  Something that isn't to traumatic to think about and deal with.  This will help train and condition your brain into following a set routine.   Heck use your phone and have it beep at you when you need to do your so called activity.  Keep the tasks to about 7 days.   When your on track and you feel that your ready to move up.  Pick another mundane task, water flowers, play with dog, wash your bike I don't know, what ever works for you and keep that up for 2 weeks.   Keep taking small chunks and practicing on keeping a routine.   Now this may work for some and not for others, but it's up to you to find what work for you and stick with it.   Once you find that particular pattern that going to be your golden rope to success.

2. SMALL BITES!   If you think your going to pile everything on to one plate and succeed, I have some bad new for you.   If your going to lose weight made small goals, 5 pounds.  Here is an example:  My Goals for the week
1. Drink more water after and before meals. Check mark how many glasses you drank in a day.
2.  Make lunches at home or take lunch with me.   Healthy Choices, instead of fast food.
3. Every day is not a treat day and small treats add up.  Eat a apple or serving of nuts.

Thing of making goals as the puzzles is already together in front of you, what you have to do is pull the piece of the puzzle that you don't want there anymore to alter your diet or habit.   So if the puzzle piece that there has a doughnut on it, you remove that doughnut and replace it with a apple.

Goal making is what works for you, not for someone else, what you got to do is fine tune it.   It does not come over night, nor does a magic fairy come out of the sky and wave her wand over you.  If you want  your goals to work for you, you have to put some skin in the game.
If your going to ride 50 miles, you got to get your ass home and ride another 50 miles to get home.  No one get a free card.

3. KEEP A JOURNAL!   Write down everything.  This way you can track what is working and what is not working.  Why keep doing something if it's not working?  If it's not working change your tacktic, and try something else.  Explore see what else there is.   You have to fine tune you, to get the best resultes.

So that's my two cent's for the Jan 1 2018.
