VOLUNTERRING AT THE STAGE RACES!

Breaking down everything after the races.
Have I been into the Red Vines?  No.  LOL My teeth are red.
Was the perfect day today for the races.

Powerful, Strong and Hell of Bad ass women killing it.
Don't get in there way or you'll be road kill.

 KATE!!!

All the staff and lookie loos.
 3 Laps.
Everything is broken down ready to be packed up.

All gone.  Until the next year.

VOLUNTERRING FOR CHICO STAGE RACES!

This was also yesterday, after the ride to Table Top mountian.

The email says to come at 6:00 PM.   People showed up at 5:00 PM.  (??)  So I was on time and late at the same time.   But wait next year I'll show up at 5:00 PM and every one will show up at 6:00 PM, just wait!    It's Murphy's Law!
Well I finally managed to find the group hiding behind the pizza shop.  LOL
Bagging meters, to close off the roads so the riders are safe.
I was given bags but, all the meter's were already bags.  What?????  I bag a few, but was starting to feel like I not really doing nothing.   All the signs and what not were already in place.  So feeling a little weird.  It was like every thing was already done.  Then when I finally found a row of meters that were not bagged I was like ok I'm earning doing volunteering, nope!  As I'm bagging one meter a random car pulls up and man and women get out and the guy said give me two bags and I'll bag them for you!  Ok?   Then he come back and ask for more.   LOL    He end up bagging the whole row for me.   I was not going to stop him, if that is what he wanted to do.   Me the free loading volunteer.

Still a bit sore and tired from the Table Top mountain ride.
There were these group of people just standing and staring, don't know what they were up to.  LOL  No these were the rest of the volunteers talking about what to do next.
Well I did it, going into my second bar in Chico with in 30 years of living here.
This is Duffy's.
About 8 people showed up for free drinks at the bar.   Me of course don't drink, I got a non alcoholic drink.

Everyone was sitting in the dark so the pictuers were well too dark.
What the first bar? It was the Panama for the exact same volunteering last year.

Here is what I was suggested.  A Ginger Muller.  So much ginger in fact it put's chest hair on you.   WOW!  It was good, but it burned my tongue really bad, in fact so much it stung.    I drank it half way down.  But my poor tongue was on fire.
Pool?  My first game of pool. LOL
 My challenger.
I guess by luck or chance I won.  I really don't know how, but he said I did, so I'll take his word for it.

And today I'll be back out there volunteering.

45.65 MILES & JENNIES TABLE TOP MOUNTAIN RIDE.

This was yesterday.

Awesome ride and guess what I didn't have to wear a jacket, gloves, and a under shirt the weather was sunny and perfect.  Now only if it can stay like this.
I wimped out today and caught a ride with Jenni to the meet up spot.  Usually I ride out to the meet up spot.   The last part of the climb is hard and I didn't want to kill my self because I've been off the bike for two week and five days.
The beginning of 2019 is not going well.
The end of February I had horrible hack fest  and into March the Flu, then my tooth....seriously what is next.  This is only my second ride in March. LOL WOW!  Oh well.

Getting to the meet up spot at 4 Corners gas station.

 Off we go.

Getting close to were all the baby horses are.
The field was full of babies.   We counted 8 in all.
 That's Janelle's baby horse smile.

Had to stop to take picture of flowers.
Table top mountain in the back ground, that's our destination.

 LUPIN.

 On ward.

 Crossing the Oroville Flume.

Going up the back side to Table top mountain.
Oroville Lake that's part of Oroville Dam the one that make the news.
 Beautiful.
Still got a ways to go.  Took a rest here.
 Looking back into the valley.
Wow this was all flooded, my last ride here this was just a open field.

 Getting my ass kicked.
Up up and up.  Some of the up parts are super steep.
Well shit. I almost ended down there.  This part of the ride was so steep all I could manage was 2 mph and it's had to keep the handle bars straight a car went past and I tried to go to the side and got my tire caught in a grove on the road and the grove lead guess where.  I stop my self with my toe.  Talk about waking my self up.   This part of the road was so steep I had to walk the bike to a area were I could get back on my bike with out going backwards.   I usually pretty good stopping on a steep area and getting back on.  But this was way too steep.

The Sutter Buttes in the back ground.

You would not believe how many people ask me if I was ok and need a ride to the top.   Yes I'm ok, yes I can do this, no I don't need a ride.   (Rolling eyes)
OMG I made it.  LOL   I was slower this time.  Last time my average speed was 12.   This time is was 11.4.
So last time I did better.
Jenni and Janelle had to wait 20 minutes for me to get my ass to the top. LMAO

My punishment for taking 20 minutes was me getting up to the top and having Jenni way were taking off.   Well she had a good reason.  The rest area was on the other side.
Don't let this picture fool you.  I waiting to take the pictures were there were no cars.  Other wise the whole place was jammed packed with cars.  I'm being serious.
I just didn't want to show that aspect of it.

Headed down the other side.

Going back down to the valley.
 Sheep.
Feeling good.  I'm alone now Jenni just ditched me at the gas station.   NO!  LOL   I wanted to stay behind, I ended up riding back to Chico from here.
And right into a head wind, so it was 12 mph all the way.

I don't now how to bunny hop, so I had to move this out of the way.  Going around it was not a option way too may cars.

Looking back at were I came from.
 Chugging along.
A flag of patriotism, a cross on top of the flag they must be good Christian people.
Next to the mail box of the flag people.    So yeah lovely isn't it how guns and religion go hand in hand.
And what is it with the flag having to increase in size.

 This is whispering.

THIS IS YELLING!!!
AND THIS IS DOWN RIGHT AGGRESSION!

So the lesson is when  you see big huge flags, there not nice, not understanding and have no problem shooting you.  But at the same time tell you that god love you.    LAMO!
 My favorite resting place.

The home stretch.  Am I sore yes and I tired yes.   Was it a good ride. YES!
