12.1 Miles

Well I think the rain on the ride yesterday shorted my speedometer or it needs a new battery.
Did a really lazy day ride today.  I can really feel it in my upper thigh muscles, so yeah slow ride.   Other wise I'm still kicking.    Really nice day today, a tad windy, but other wise the slow ride felt good.   I also been thinking about the warm up ride before I did the Fun 50, I'm so glad I did that.  I think if I had not done that I would have really lagged behind.  I seem to do better after warming up rather than just jumping in.    This is another reason I'm really super bummed about not being able to hill climb any more.  :(       After  doing a good 3 to 5 time up the hill depending on the day, it really help my speed.

The area we rode though was beautiful,  ponds, turkeys and lovely views of the mountains.   But I keep on have to remind my self I can't get distracted.   I don't want to be the cause of a 5 person pile up because I saw a birdie.   I'd be super popular then.

Taking a break tomorrow.   No bike riding

44.1 miles

Update.  I was five miles off.  So 44.1 miles and not 49.

Awesome day today!!!!    And my speedometer got knock off, so no photo's :(
12.1 miles warm up.
5 miles getting their with the addition of riding around looking for a bathroom, which I found at the dance studio.
23 miles Fun 50
4 miles home.   So yeah today was a good ride.

Got to join the Fun 50 day and it was a blast.  :)    And I got to be in my first pace line, along with leading the pack for more than a few stretches.    The group I was with was very nice and very informative, about how to ride and what to do along the way.  Learning some new hand signals and bark commands for how to cross the rode safely.    Got a Awesome Job from the leader, so I'm happy.
Very interesting being so close to the back tire, had to really pay attention and this caused me to grip the handle bars tighter than normal. I was very nerve wracking, but I think I can get use to it.   I think I am going to stick with the Fun 50, because I need more practice.   At first I was undecided, but know I see that is where I need to be.

The ride was great, but I have to admit I was not prepared for being on the bike seat with out getting off for the full 28 miles.     OWwww~~~~~    When I ride though the park I take a break get off and walk across the bridge.  Well out there their were no bridges with people on it on this ride.   My butt was on fire.  We did take a small break, but it was very small, did not included getting off the bike.   I did some stretches on the bike and that did help.

About 3 miles toward the end of the ride I was getting tired and the rain was not helping me at all. The drops were hitting me in the eyes and the salt was burning my eyes, so yeah it was really hard to see.  Especially with having glasses, but other wise my legs were fine, sore but fine.   Not sore like doing 75 to 80 miles, just sore.

One of the guys got a flat tire so we lost two members, because the other guys decided to make sure he got back safely.    Kind of felt bad for him.     Go go go, then a flat.  :(   That got to suck.

We ran acorss some wild turkeys that was pretty cool.  But thinking in the back of my mind, note to self keep attention off of wild life and keep pace.  Safely first.

Toward the end of my ride these to guys tried to knock me off the bike, I fought back and they sprayed me with water and one guy tried to steal my spokes on my bike.    Oh the agony.....  No not really.  Nothing like that happened just giving someone a hard time.   Actually the two people in question are really nice and would never do anything like that.

But now for the real one.  Bleh.  On my way home a guy on a bike waves his arms for me to pass first, and the idiot speed up.   I made a huge wide half circle around him, I knew he was up to no good.  How did I know.    He looked miffed like dang that didn't work. Sorry jerk, not in the mood.

Came home and hubby had dinner all made.   Mmmmmm   Nice way to end a great ride.

12.1 miles

11.8 miles?  I hit it and it didn't read for a bit.
So yeah got out their and let my legs loose.
Only did 12.1 miles today.  Lower half was feeling fine, upper half still bleh, but I did get a hard ride in though.
Funny how thing work out, ran into a lady who owes me money.   Grrrrrrr  Just pay me already.
$25 dollars meh....but this was over  $100.
I sold my earring in her store down town and they sold and on her last day open she ditch me. If this is how she treats all her vendors, then I'm not surprised why she went out of business.  Make me wonder how many other people she didn't pay.   If you do it to one person, your bound to do it to another.   Rant over.

A the last part of the ride a teen-e-bopper about 16. He look old enough to know better steps right in front of my bike.  I'm not going fast, about 8 mph coasting.   But the pubescent jerk was doing the YOU SHALL NOT PASS crap.   I had some choice things I wanted to say, but at that age their in fight mode, so yeah.
He was walking with a girl about his age.

"Well now it looks like someone just hit puberty?   Are you going to start to attack my bike tire to show your dominance?"

"Wait let me get my camera I want to record you showing your dominance skills and mating dance for your girl friend?"

yeah I know after the fact.

JUST A OBSERVATION ABOUT CYCLING 100 MILES

About a couple days ago I was thinking about how my body felt after riding 100 miles and it just dawned on me it was like treading water in the ocean.   It's just like swimming in the ocean.  Because when you get out of the water your body is totally zapped of energy.   Your arm strength is gone and about all you can do is stand upright.   Well from what my experience has been.   As for a lake, or swimming pool, no.
As for riding today...I've been feeling really blehh.......  Top half of me is totally not their, lower half is like What the fuck wrong with you.   So yeah I've got split personality cycling disorder.  Where the two halfs of your body fight with each other.      And coming up soon I get to see a ENT  Dr.   That issues is in my gum line and it's still not cleared up after two very strong antibiotics.   So I might have to have it cut out.   (......) sarcastic.......Oh how I can't wait.   So yeah.

2,014 miles ;) CYCLING IN THE HIMALAYA'S

Breaking is for losers.  So I headed off to the Himalaya's today.  Great weather.   Stop to get a selfie along the way.    If you thing this is photo shopped your mistaken.  It was actually quite warm and it was causing the camera to make things (appear that they were photo shopped).

I tell you what it was a hard ride from the Great wall of China to the Himalayas 2,014 miles to be exact and a lot of steep climb.

Their was no place to stop off for cliff bars, so I ate bugs out right.  Anything with wings was going down the hatch.   Hard core cyclist don't bring snack's, they eat what on the fly.

So till next time.

20 miles

Leg stated talking to me so I had to shut them up.

Jumped on the bike and took off and did the normal loop as I always do.   Hubby was recovering from yesterday, he not use to long rides.
Felt fine until 10 miles in and I think I had a mini bonk.  I ate enough and didn't skimp out, so the only thing I can figure is that I been going like hell on wheels.  26.7 mph.  After the bike path stops from going away from horse shoe lake to the entrance where they close the gate.   I've done it before, but this time I was gobbling down a whole cliff bar right on the spot.  Where normally 1/2 cliff bar for every hour is just fine.  Nope not to day.   After that and a couple sips of water I was fine.   But the hunger feeling was super intence.... may be the 50 miles yesterday???
Well tomorrow is break day, and no cheating like the last time.

50.1 miles & 28 miles.

What a great day today.    I started the day with a 15 mile ride thought the park.  Then was excited to hear that my hubby had got back from Chico State really early.   So I asked him how far he wanted to go and he was up for Butte College.  :)  Because he was caught up with everything.   Ya!

Wanted to join a group for a ride, guess they wanted to ride alone, never answered back.  No hurt feelings.   My motto is Just ride.  So that what we did.    So proud of hubby for being a trouper, he has not did a long ride in quite a while.  I think he was ready for it.

Now for the really weird part, check this out.  Last time I got shocked coming and going underneath the wires.  I totally lucked out and guess who was getting zapped.   He never believe me, now he does.  LOL

The ride out was amazingly nice. I'm crossing my fingers cross that it stays this nice during the Wild Flower and not sizzling hot.

Well the ride would have been prefect, we came around a corner and their was two dead animals, a hawk. :(    And something else that stunk to high heaven.   YUCK!    And to top that off a big huge white truck came way to close to us ( he did this on purpose)  He laid on the gas and it was diesel, so we were bath in a huge cloud of black smoke.   This was no accident.  While cycling I have come to learn the warning signs.  Huge
trucks bearing American Flags & really expensive cars stay away from and avoid at all cost.  That lady that was freaking out on me that one time and trying to run me off the road into the grass, she was driving a BMW.
This is just my observation.  I have yet to be run off the road by a junker or Me-de-oaker car.    Yeah we were pissed about what he did, but not much we could do expect cough and hack.

It's people like this that don't give a rats ass about cyclist.  No amount of telling is going to wake them up.  The most you'll get out of them is for them to look you in the face and tell you to fuck off.

This is were I would need a gun that shoot a nice spike right into the side of his car.   Opp's I did I hit your car?  I'm so so sorry.   NOT!    Oh well.
Road behind hubby to keep my self from leaving him behind.
