12.1 miles HARD & FAST

Did a time trial today, wanted to see how fast I could get from point A to point B which was 2.3 miles.  Not to impressed with the times. :(   Because I had to slow down several times for people.     But did it any way.

Set the stopwatch to zero.  I have one might as well use it.
It took me 7 minutes and 23 seconds to go exactly 2.3 miles.  Like I said feeling bummed, their was people, peopling on the path.   I'm going to try it again.

14.4 Miles Easy ride & Time to reflect on the 100 mile ride.

Took it really easy today.  Another nice day today kind of windy and chilly, but very pleasant ride.  Lot's of quail running around and the wild flower are starting to take off.  I love that.   Surprisingly my butt was back to normal and not to bad.  Caught another car driving on the bike path....lol, but this time I think is was a accident, because they quickly realized their mistake.

The 100 mile ride was very intense, but something struck me.  When I did the 71 miles for the first time my internal homing device when off.  ~~Home go home time to go home.~~   This time that did not happen.   Just a interesting side note.       This time it was ~~~Keep going, keep going~~~

Well I'm really proud of my self as my own trainer, because I did not hurt my self.  Maybe a sore arm and tush, but other wise I feel fine.   And I do believe soaking in the hot bath was the best part.  I read several forms about ice vs hot and to me hot is just more soothing and relaxing.     In my other post I'm felt like I was rambling with excitement with the wide eyed realization that I just did 100 miles.

I did not do it blindly,  I did take all my breaks, I ate breakfast.  At 60 miles I did go home to rest and have lunch for about a 1/2 hour.  Then jumped back on the bike.
Now considering I did 100 miles thought the park which is not a flat, I wondering how much faster I could do 100 miles on a flat ride.????      Yes I am contemplating doing another 100 miles, but not any time soon.  Don't want to kill my self.   The 60 mile Flat flower is going to be too easy, but maybe not like I said before I need more practice riding with people in large groups.    What I really hope is to find someone who  I can ride with so I can go out on further rides and my hubby isn't worried, he's been so busy in school he has not had time to practice with me.   So for now I park bound.

Dreaming of my next big ride.

100 miles & lot's of suffering.

HOLY FRIKEN MOUSE TURDS!!!! I did it.  100 miles and this time it is not a joke.
I was fine at 50 and feeling good and in the back of my mind I was hmmm 60, so I rode to 60, then I was like hmm can I beat my longest ride of 71?   And I did.  The mug shot of me below is at 75.  My tush was fine until I reached 75 and then oh the agony.  From 75 to 100 was trying to find spots on the seat that were not going to cause me the most pain.  And it worked I would find a stop and not move from it, until a hit a bump....ouch X 100 even if it was a very small bump.  Oh yeah, my whole new focus was to avoid all small pot holes at all cost.  My tush hurt way more than my legs did.  But it was not until I stop at 100 that I realized how much more my legs were on fire. I soaked my legs in a hot bath.
Forget Flaming Mignon steaks, their for losers.  Cliff Bar's after 70 tastes like pure sweet joy.  I was floating on a cloud with every bite.   Something magical happens to food after 70.

I only had two incidents I hit my first dog.   eeeee But amazingly the owner took responsibility.
It was a blind curve and I was going about 13 mph and she did have the two dogs on a very long lease.  As I went around the corner the two dogs one very big and one very small ran right in front of me at the last possible minute I hit the breaks hard and still slid into the dog with a large bump.  Oh boy poor fella his eyes were so big and he look so scared.   I'm just so glad he was in front of the other smaller dog.  That dog was small enough that my bike would have broke it's leg or possible ribs.   But the own spoke up right away OMG I'm so sorry I was not paying attention.  The big dog was startled but fine.    Whew.  And for the second thing on the last ride
up to horse shoe lake I look up the last hill and I am riding on the bike path.  Two idiots in a car start driving down the bike path in front of me.   I am like really?!   They were not near me, but still.  They saw me and then only then decided to drive on the road.

5970 calories

Ow~~~~~~    Mental Mined Games.   Head is saying at the same time WTF are you doing to me and then at the same time your over riding it and saying to your self you can do it.

748.31 miles total is the real amount.
I took it off a few time and forgot to put it back on.

20.8 miles & threw a rod today

Such a great day to be out on a bike today.   I was really hoping to do a longer ride, but well I didn't throw a rod, I broke a spoke.   Ughhh right in the middle of my ride.   Sigh.   Now my legs are having a bit of a temper tantrum, because I can keep going.    Going to have to do something different.

THANK YOU MIKE for rescuing me. 😉
And fixing my bike.

12.1 Miles

Decided to do 12.1 miles today.   From my wait down I'm fine.  From the waist up I can feel that I've been off the bike.  Especially when we went up hill, dang.   Huff and puff it felt like the first time.    I did do some looksee loo about cycling with a sinus infection and light to moderate, I was ok on the bike, but I did not feel invigorated this time.  However I did read that light to moderate exercise can speed up the healing process, but not all out hard core.
Well on the bright side my teeth don't hurt after a ride.  But if push on the left side along side my nose I can feel my one tooth is sore and inflamed, but not from a cavity.   Everyone is out
and about, it so hard to wait till the 21st.   I'll break tomorrow.  But come Wednesday  I'm going to start trying to get back to were I was, moderate build up.

Had a huge flock of Quail fly by,  <3 <3.   Ya!

This is actually a bit off I should be a lot more.  I forgot to put it on a couple of time. opps.
