17.22 MILES & 1000 MILES COMPLETED FOR THE MONTH.

OMG I'm so glad I did a extra miles yesterday.  It was getting hot this morning and I am really super tired.  Time for a two day break.  And getting some good shut eye.
It's going to get up to 106 today.  Yuck.

So 1000 in May
1000 in June.
Can you see were I'm going with this?
Remember the wager.    Bwhahahahaaaa.

I has a close call this morning at the intersection to California Park.   Mind you I stop at the intersection and push the cross walk button.  It changed to walk and I slowly crossed.   There was not much traffic, so I carefully and slowly rode into the bike lane going toward Chico Canyon.   And yelled out 'HOLY SHIT"  A guy wearing no shirt who looked like a cyclist was coming the wrong way down the bike path toward me.  Good thing I was going slow.  He veered around me around the corner and took off up into California Park.
Dang!  He must have been going at least 17 to 18 mph.   So yeah that was a close call.

And then over toward Eaton a family decided to block a section of road with tables and a tent.   I can slow down and make my way around the tables.  But if your going to block a road, make it clear to motorist who are coming around the corners.    Safety First.  I told them they should put a sign up around the corner and they looked at me like I was a crazy person.  Oh well.

19.54 MILES A SECOND HELPING

The whole time I'm riding I'm trying to envision the cool weather at Lake Almanor this morning.... sadly it's not happening.   It's going to be 106 tomorrow, so I did another 19.54 miles.    So all I have left to get to 1000 miles is 16.62 miles.     Time to cool down.

40.46 MILES, LAKE ALMANOR & A BABY BEAR!

Thank to Jenni for making today happen.  This was not only a beautiful ride but it was filled with lot's of things to ohhh and ahhh at.  Flowers, butterflies, not to mention very cool weather, ahhhhh.  And we had a baby brown bear cross the road in front of us.    WOW!
Getting ready to go.
Picking up friends.
Lot's of construction, but that didn't stop us.

Lot's of construction.

Ok here we go.

Taking a break.
Riding on.

This was one great shot of Lassen.

Ahhh man this is the only evidence of the baby bear. When I took the shot I was looking at Mt Lassen.  And when we both put our cameras away it darted across the road.    That was the icing on the cake.
Full circle.
Nom nom time.
Hell yeah.!   This was one fricken huge burger.

31.25 Miles,HALF & HALF & A NEW WOW JERSEY!

Well I decided to go for the dramatic cycling look today.  No smiling, to serious.  Bike action shot's included.

Well I got confused the Almanor ride is tomorrow.  LOL  I woke up at 6:30 this morning and went opps.  LOL

Did 20 miles this morning and did another 10 later in the day.

To the right you will see a pole, to the left you will see a pile of rocks.  The pole is suppose to be cemented where the rocks are.   LOL    Why is the pole not there?  Because the huge trucks do not dive on the rode.  I see this all the time.  They use the bike path as a extra lane.   So this pole has been there, then it not there, then it's there.   You think that the damage it would cause to a truck would be enough to stop them.  Nope.
Hey look who I spotted to day.  Fellow cyclist.
Nom nom nom.    Got invited to a Fit Kit Party and was surprised with a new kit.  I'm in Kit Heaven.  But this one is special, because it part of the WOW (Women on Wheels Club)   So when we ride, well all match.    YAA!!!!
Had such a great time with great women.  And the food was so yummy.   This was gone so fast.
OMG!  LOL  All the food is right next to this window.   Those dogs are like why....why are you eating all that yummy food in front of us.

47.61 MILES WOW & LOT'S OF ROLLERS

Great day riding with the ladies of WOW (Women on wheels).  We did lot's of rollers today, up and down and up and down.    It was hot, but we lucked out with a nice cool breeze.

Well the Phantom falls ride is a no go.  The two people I was going to go with had things come up.  But tomorrow I'm going to Lake Almanor with Jenni then guess what!   The next day I'm going right back to the same lake with the WOW group to do a double whammy.   What a great way to end the month

 Listen up ladies Pam's talking.
Taking a break in the shade.
 Off we go.   Headed home.
 A ways to go.

Coffee taste better after a long ride.  Yummy.
This is my average speed right after we got to the coffee shop.
