16.05 MILES THAT'S ALL

Just did a short ride today.  And now I can say I have ridden 210.81 miles for January.  And I was shy 122.63 miles. oh well

Well crap it going to rain on the day of the Paskenta WOW ride.   Uggghhh  I'm going to see if anyone what to go into combat mode and still do it.

Started my ride with a lady yelling at me to jump off my bike because her huge dog was going to take me down.  Dog was running toward me, then pass me.  I did not react because the dog was not barking at me.  But she was freaking out.
Another thing that happened two guys running jumped out right in front of me. Good thing I saw them, I slowed down to 17 mph, it a road I usually take at 21 mph.  I was thinking to my self my god if I was a actual car would they have done the same thing?   People don't see cyclist as a threat.  People are more willing to step out in font of you when your on a bike with out realizing how fast your going.   Ask them to do the same for a car and they won't do it.
It was a very pleasant day today.  The rest of the country is freezing in the -25 C.   Yikes.
Like I said before there Bad asses then there Smart asses.    Bad asses put there life in danger for the bragging rights.  Smart ass know better.  I hope everyone stays safe.

41.24 MILES & WOWING IT WITH THE WOMEN.

Great ride today with the WOW group.  Did some climbing and my back was a bit sore, but as soon as we stopped it was fine. So whew.

What a beautiful way to end my ride by finding this tree, the humming birds and bees were all over it.

On my way to join the group, I've been noticing that the park has been cleared out and trees are being cut up.  Either people are getting spooked from what happened in Paradise or their trying to keep the newly expired homeless people from Paradise from camping out.  I mean the one's who lost everything and have no trailer or home to go to.   Chico has a way with herding the homeless.   30 years in Chico and I've seen it all.

I thought is was going to be a really cold ride. Nope I ended up taking the ear warmers off.

The wonderful ladies of WOW.

Here we go!
It started to really warm up so we stop and every one took there coats off.

Beautiful dry creek with a old barn in the back ground.
Getting to Nicalog Rd.
Moss and Lichen.

Sneaky!   Coming back down from Nicalog Rd I over shot a turn off that come back on to the main road.   Opp's   Like I have not done that before. LOL

Home we go.

Cork Forest.   I decided to stop here for a break.
This is were your wine bottle stopper comes from.
Now don't get Corky on me.
Lot's of cork.
Ohhhh pretty!     But crap I can not find what this is.   I usually really good with finding out what it is, but one is a pill.
It's a small tree, and it looks out of place going along side the park.  How ever on the ride up to Nicalog I did see a small bush with similar white flowers.

MY GOOGLE + ACCOUNT IS GONE!

Issued by Google +  :  Google is shutting down its beleaguered social network sooner than expected in the wake of a new security issue that affected 52.5 million users. ... However, it now plans to shut down Google Plus by April 2019, and access to its APIs in the next 90 days.

I have no idea how this is going to affect my blog site, because this site is connected to them.  So if I disappear you will now why.     I hope it is not affected.

32.43 MILES & A GREAT DAY!

Listening to Daft Punk-Drezzed.  (LOUD)  & Next  Evanescence Before the Dawn. I love the juxtaposition of these two songs.

Feeling good.  Didn't stop and take as many pictuers, concentrated on going a little faster.    I didn't get to 25 mph today in doing my sprint, just managed 23.6 mph but that ok.
I kind of rotate it, take it easy go hard, take it easy go hard repeat.

Now for something off the wall.  I forgot to mention this yesterday.  When I came home after my ride and was sitting down with hubby.  I notice my cat Fiona working over my bike intently.   We watch her in wonderment like is she going to jump on and steal my bike.  Nope!  We watched her remove a dead bug and eat it like it was the best treat ever.  I completely lost it.   So technique on each ride I'm working for my cat, by bring home lovely treats for her.

What's next the VELO LOVE RIDE!!!!! YAY!  I'm jumping right back into it.  It's such a beautiful ride.

Really Smoggy today.

I have a affliction.   It's called Lap-a-nutzoidus-itus.  I don't know what it is about doing lap in the park, but it's seriously addictive.  I had to literally get off my bike and say no, because if I'm on the bike I end up riding back up.

30.24 MILES & MUSHROOMS

Well I'm back at it.   The Velo Ride is in 12 days.  Heart pounding.     Well considering I still managed to get 121.09 miles in for January.   I though it was under 100 miles.  Hey over 100 miles is better than no miles.
Well here is how I started my ride.  Not just one smashed red cup, but a shit ton all over both sides of the road.   College students are back, full force.    The odd irony is that there concerned about the environment, but apparently plastic red cups are perfect to throw all over the place.
This was just a bit on the side of the road, but believe me it was bad on the other side and in the middle.
Hey look Tit less way and my back so far so good.
Very smokey today? I was not sure if it was smoke, fog maybe?
ROCKS!   The new gun deterrent.  (warning my sarcasm is on high)
The Gun Club decide to donate these special rocks that will make potential gun nuts change his mind from shooting people.   These are special rocks, each selected from a special rock pile. There arrow dynamic and fly with high accurately at any unwanted person with a gun.

Ugghhh!  Fit One Boot camp! Teams of 4, no bucket, no shovels.  We had to scoop up as much as possible. The winning team would have the biggest pile.  I was using my hands as scoops and using my shirt as the bucket.  My finger were pretty much fucked up, but hey we won.

Energy Efficient Homes?
Ok I'm digging this.  When Can I move in.

MUSHROOMS!

Wow this one is a bad ass mushroom, what ever it was pushing up was really heavy.

More Mushrooms.
This mushroom was really on edge.
No seriously.  It was not fall over it was just growing this way.
:)

Looking at a creek that is usually dry.

There is something in the trees waiting for death.
Vultures.

25.8 miles per hour.  Sort sprint, but I can do it.
