Well if your made it this far and are still reading my post with out cringing with every sentence.  Your brave.   My spelling has always been bad, really bad. Put it this way if I had to save the world with my spelling we'd all die.  When I type I don't see the mistakes, my mind auto corrects it.  Kind of like this.
The fox jumps over the fence.
The        jump  over  he  fence.     I will see the above sentence, but the below sentence will be what I have written.  Oh joy.     My hearing is the same way.  Oh joy double.

So if you a English Grammar Nazi, reading my Blogs will make you Bleed from your nipples and puke seaweed.

40 Miles to Cohasset & Rest time.

Great morning for a ride with WOW to Cohasset.   And yes you could say I suffered.
Road up the hill with 6 great ladies.
Pain? Oh yes lot's of pain.  Not so much my legs, but rather other areas, even with my new Jersey, so Chris E my Cycling Guru told me I need to take a week off the bike.  Totally going to do it, because I'm so sore.
This month I road a total of 450.3 miles and I averaged 112.5 miles a week.

Look were I made it.  Ya!  I rode past the narrow and got to the little store.
One of the ladies warned me about a really steep area, so on the way up I was psyching my self out for going up a really steep hill.  I kept thinking were is this hill???  Got to the store and she was like oh it's past the store.   LOL.
And of all things I got stuck behind a garbage truck on the way to the store.  Bleh.... talk about a stinky ride.

This is me after the ride and yes I had coffee & a muffin all by my self.  And it was so good.   What are the read streaks on my forehead, the padding from the helmet, if your wondering.
Look down and was like oh.   After the flat flower 60, I had a gash.   This was a small bruise, covered with grease.

DANG!  Yeah my fastest speed down hill ever.

300 POST! YAY!

                     RAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  300 POST!!!!!
                                                    BLOOD SWEAT & TEARS.
Disclamer: No cyclist was hurt in the making of this post.

So ya 300 post.
I told this lady in a bike race and she just broke down and started crying.  She was so happy that I had reached 300 post.    WOW!

Reality sinks in.  No this is Lizzie Armitstead cries winning world championships.

13 MILES

Well Chris E was unable to make it for our ride today, so we are going to try to ride Thursday.  No big deal   I ended up doing my own thing in the park.
Road twice up the hill I practice on, and am amazed how easy it is.    I remember the first time I rode up it, it killed me.  Now it's like meh. Just did a short jot, because I'm going to be riding up Cohasset with WOW tomorrow.

My Black Cat Jersey was suppose to show up yesterday.  Hopefully it will show up today.

4.8 MILES OF SUFFERING

Their long ride and then their's really short rides.   But when you do a crazy short ride you got to act like it was a epic ride never the less.  You got to pump it up and make it sound like you suffered.    I was the hardest ride of my life.  I didn't have any water, my legs were so sore and the fact I was peddling so hard I broke a rod.  Oh the agony!   I had to use my super human strength to bend the spoke so I could keep on riding.   And the clapping of the spoke hitting the over and over again was unbearable.  What you don't believe me?    Awww.

So yeah 4.8 miles.
Thank you Bike Dr Mike for the short notice fix.  ;)

Tomorrow should make up for the short ride today.

12 Miles & Catching Fire.

Yeah you could say it was hot today.  It said it was 106 today. Out at horse shoe lake my speedometer temperature read 118.  Holy fuck!  Accu Weather stated that we were suppose to be cooling down at least into the 93 to 97.  Now as of today were having another Heat Wave.   Oh joy.  We jumped on our bike and I was expecting at least a little bit of a cool breeze.  Nope nothing...just hot air all the way.   :(    So yeah we suffered.  I did more than hubby, he did 8 miles and I did 12 miles.  It was so hot I opted to ride inside the park.  It was 10 degrees cooler in the park.                                                              Well got to try out my new cycling short today in the blaring heat.  Different, it was soft, but I still have a couple of sore areas that really are pain full and I don't think a 12 miles ride is going to give me a really good feel for them.  So I'll wait
till a longer ride.  And oh boy are they short, above the knee, not use to that.  Well I have to make a correction.  More than one person has ridden my bike. ;)     1.Bike Dr Mike.  2. Tour De France Bike Guy.   3.  And Maybe a few people from Sports LTD.     But anyone else?   Watch out.
So many fun rides and the fun 50 which I'm been missing for a while now. :(   The WOW Woman on wheels.  Fridays ride & Riding with Chris E the French lady.     I want plan my rides around her.   When riding with her is not a easy cake walk there are not tissue paper to wipe the tear away.   I get lemon juice, in a loving way.    So yeah no pain no gain. It's a suffer fest all the way.  But if I didn't like it I would not go back.   I'm meeting up with her the Tuesday for more pain and climbing.

50 MILES OF SUFFERING.

Rode with Chris E today.  And dang she's hard core when it come to training.  Mind you that's not a bad thing. A good day is a sore day.   She keeps telling me I got to earn my plate and she making me work really hard to earn every piece of what's on my plate.  I had no idea that I was going to do 50 miles today on top of doing 33.3 miles 32.1 miles & 12.1 miles all in four day.  127.5 miles in all.   You could say my legs are on fire.   Burn baby burn.
We road up Cohasset.  I think I was shy from the narrows by maybe a half mile, when Chris E road back down she wanted me to follow so I did.    I beat my speed record for going down hill.  I did 36.4 miles an hour.  Yikes.  We then
headed down Keefer Rd to Anita Road.   And that when I bonked.  Not a hard core bonk, but my stomach was knotting up and I was feeling really super fatigued.   But like I said not enough to get off the bike.  So we headed home.    I think if I stayed out their I would have Bonked really hard.   Thank you so much for the coffee gel Chris E.  It was a life saver.

On Keefer Road we met a really nice lady who lets us get water.   OMG so thankful for her kindness.

If you ride always keep in the back of your mind it's not always car's you have to watch out for.  On our ride out Chris E has a too close for comfort call with a hipster cyclist riding very fast in the wrong direction.   Then while riding (in the bike lane)  a car pull out in front of her.  Yikes not good.   I had a close call on Keefer on the way back.  I was going 13 miles an hour and a car going fast came up beside me and cut right in front of me to turn like I was not there.  Um yeah.

On the way home near I had a flat.  And I still have a lot to learn.  So I removed the tire, and let the rest of the air out.  Then stared to pinch the tire inward.   And then out of the blue a guy shows up on a bike who is friend with Chris E.   And turns out not any guy.  Not only is he a retired bike mechanic.  He was a exclusive mechanic for a women Tour De France Rider.   WOW!   This is the closes to the Tour De France that I'm going to get.  So like I said WOW!    He was super nice and fixed my flat and the next thing you know he had my bike hanging from a tree.  LOL  The three had the perfect short branch for hanging the bike like you would in a shop.   He worked my bike over and adjusted everything on it.   Now I'm usually very protective over my bike and won't let anyone ride it.   He is the first person to ride my bike to make sure every thing was fine.  It was kind of weird seeing my bike ride away from me with someone else riding it.   He even worked on Chris E bike too, yeah and her bike was in the tree too.     I also learned that he the one the gave the owner of Sports LTD the inspiration to open a bike shop.   And guess who drove by and waved.  The owner of the Sport LTD.  I wonder if I should have stayed on that spot any longer.   Just saying.

Another thing I learned is I have burn marks on my break pads.   eeeeeeee

NOT    RIDING   TOMORROW!   NO IF & OR BUT'S!    NOT! NO!

33.3 MILES It was a half evil ride.

Well put brand new batteries in my speedometer and dang didn't even have to wait for it to set.  As soon as I was done doing the clickee clickee with the buttons it was ready.   I had some old batteries in it.
Well now 33.3 in 2 hours and 22 minutes?   Are my stars aligned?  Just thought that was silly.

Road with the WOW group today really fun, my legs are a little sore.
Toward the end of the ride I heard Kathryn yell SUSEN  SPRINT !       LOL    and well I did on a straight away.     25.5 miles an hour.   Wholly crap does that take it out of me.  After that I had coffee on the brain.
Coffee....Coffee...Coffee.
After we got back to Chico we stopped by Has Beans and for happy coffee and a yummy peach muffin.  Moist and no mold.
Well me being me.   Billy and I got the same muffin and well I was so hungry I was looking at her muffin like Gollum looking at the ring.     She about had to slap my hands.  LOL   Oh wait here's my goodie.

Well I thought I was going to take a break tomorrow.    My friend Chris who is helping me with training is having a day to ride so I'm going to join her and do some more.  My butt sore, but I should be ok by tomorrow.

I'm going to start to do like the Hawaiians do.
What to the Hawaiians do?    My parents live their for 11 years and the Hawaiians eat a lot of vitamin e capsules.   The coral reef can be very jagged and sharp and when fishing of the beach you can get cut up really bad, which his friends did, but sense they ate vitamin e gel pills they would heal super fast.   No I don't have gashes and huge cut's on me, but I do have a few sore and pinch spots.   And no I'm not eating handfuls at a time.  Just one a day should be fine.     Nothing like a vitamin e capsule smoothie.  LOL

Friday hmm going to really think about doing that ride.    It's hill climbing.   My back is better, than it was.  I guess it will all depend how I feel after the ride tomorrow.

32.1 MILES

Not the best ride today, but still a good ride.  Was not feeling so hot, but I decided to slog on.   My reef walkers are fine, my feet felt nice and cool no sore areas.   With my shoes I did experience chafing.   Going up hill and on a longer ride will give me a better idea of how their really going to hold up, but so far so good.  I've been doing stretching and my lower back still kind of feels slightly sore, but something that can be worked out.   Going ride with the WOW group tomorrow.
Had someone yell at me I Love the cookie monster.    LOL
And I am happy to report I ordered my first pair of real cycling shorts, so this should be interesting.  I tried my hubbies on yesterday, we both have the exact same waist size.   And I was like, I feel like I just unloaded in my shorts.   Not use the the padding yet.  So what do you know I'll have a top and bottom and my wacked out reef walkers.

12.1 MILES & NOT YET!

I know if you wear clip on's your making a squeamish face, kind of like below.  Yes I'm wearing reef walkers, yes their blue and yes I'm digging them.   I only did a very short ride today was (not yet) feeling up to pare.   Had a head ache earlier in the day and my stomach is still recovering from the 2 day eating out bender we did.   I'm paying for it.
As for a 12.1 mile ride with the reefers.  My feet were really and airy.  That felt really nice.   Their a bit different, but the true test will be ride further with them on.

OMG! she wear those hideous things in public while riding a road bike.  And her road bike has mountain bike peddles?  Ewwwwwwww.

YES!   Now I can hold on to stuff.   My other gloves are winter gloves and wearing winter gloves in summer.  Bleh.

Well now, even with taking a week and two day off I just realize I have already beat my mileage for last year which was 204 miles.   I'm at 265.1 miles.   So that was easy.   I have 10 more day of riding let see what happens.

Stretch----- Stretch---Streach--- just trying get ready for the next hill climb.

On our trip to to coast I was analyzing the whole road hills, curbs and what not.  It would be a great one way challenge, but the more I thought about it the more I was like maybe not.  Some areas are so narrow and the cars go to fast, and the last 35 miles to the coast is not a good place to be on a bike.     We came around a corner to a very sad situation.  Mind you the road were on is 35 miles of hair pin and tight turns, this is no place to be speeding.  Two cars who were speeding had impacted so hard it was made our stomachs turn to see two cars like that mangled.    One was upside down on the side and one was in the ravine.   It look like it just happened maybe with in minutes of us showing up.  Their was just enough room for us to pass.  We can just hope every one was ok.        So another reason not to bike to the coast.

However I would love to take the bike to the coast and ride down the coast that would be fun.

1 WEEK & 2 DAYS. HO HUM!

Well my break turned out to be a little longer than expected,  no big deal.  I'm not upset at all.  Some stuff came up that is important to us and we've been wanting to do for a long time.   Hubby is going back to College this Monday so tomorrow were going to take a day trip to the coast to take a deep breath, before he is neck deep in the college life.   So yeah I can be off the bike a little longer.  But as soon as we get back yeah I'm getting back to riding.    And I'm getting my cycling jersey back.  Yaaaaa!!!!  And I also got new cycling gloves with out fingers, so I can grab things and keep my finger from sweating like crazy.
Now I know for a fact I'm going to drive everyone nuts NVT's Nuts,  (if you seen History of the World by Mel Brooks you'll get the joke, if not rent the movie.)  Well what did I do.  Well first I did a little research into what causes a Hot Spot on your foot.  And I am deciding to go with Reef Walks.......yeah I can hear you over the computer. reef what?   No not clip on's...Reef walker.
There flexible, quick dying have a hell of a grip and are non slip.   They keep your feet cool and because their flexible you don't smash the crap out of your, Abductor hallucis and Flexor haullucis brevis muscle.   When wearing stiff shoes and clip on's people smash the crap out of this part of your foot and that is what causes hot spot.   To keep your feet cool and the shoe flexible reduces hot spots.    When I did 100 miles the two time I did not have any problems with hot spot's because my dud's I was wearing had flexible soles.  I'm not a expert at this, but I want to go with my gut feeling and my gut is telling me Reef walkers.     As for going 20% to 30% faster and more efficient, I just want to ride and be happy were I am when I'm riding.       If I try the reef walkers and they don't work out oh well I'll try something else.     And has any one notice that I have Mountain bike peddles on a road bike.     I think a few people have.    I'm a free range cyclist.   LOL

BACK SPASM'S

Well bummer.  Was doing fine and dandy after the Centerville ride, I has a slight back ache and sore legs.   But it turned into a full blown back spasm when I sat down in a chair the next day.  😨    Not fun.   And what make this worst is my legs are go go go and my back is no no no. So I feel super crappy.    I'm on muscle relaxers which is helping.   Can't wait for this to be over.    So my break might be just a little bit longer.

I got the 5th degree from hubby for not stretching, so yeah need to stretch more, then I should be good as new.

And here is another excellent reason to keep a cycling journal, you can keep track of all your aches and pains.    The last time I had a ache on the bike was my numb feet, which I cured by getting bigger peddles.

BREAK TIME

Time take a break.  My legs have been on fire all day long, this time it's not because I need to ride, it's because I really push my self hard, with the two back to back rides to Centerville.   I'm really feeling the burn with a bit of back pain.  Ouch.   So I did a hard ride, now time to do a hard rest.    So I'm just going to wait until my legs wake back up.  So 3 day or a week.

40 Miles CENTERVILLE AGAIN.

Well my speedometer decided to skizz's out at the last possible second, so no pictures.
40 miles   When home the long way to make it a even number.
14.1 Average.
30    Max
2440   Calories roughly.

Great tough ride with everyone considering I road a total of 65 miles on the 9th and this is my second time to Centerville in one week. 👀   I could really feel it in my tights going up hill.   Toward the end I was feeling the burn.   And of course as soon as I get there every one takes off.   My bike was making a rattling noise that was freaking me out.  Found out it was a lose screw for my water bottle rack, deep breath of relief.   I did so well on the return to the Honey run bridge, but caught my breath and kept up all the way to the coffee house.  😋   Mrs Bunny aka Kathryn was kind and shared her coffee with me.  In a few weeks I need to return the favor.   And you'd be glad to hear the cure for her is coffee, it keeps her from fantasizing about people being carrots.  So she on the road to recovery.  😁

Well I am really happy with the way this month is turning out.  I'm pushing my self and the miles are adding up.  In a week and four days I have gone 253 miles and have gone to Centerville twice in one week.   And so far I've burned 15,640 calories.   So yeah I'm Happy.

28.8 MILES GOING FERAL WITH A FLAT.

Not ever second bike ride can be the greatest, but you can make the best of it.
I got back from Centerville and went on a second ride with hubby and yes I went Feral, I was going to do another 60 miles and go for the gold of riding 100 miles today. I was all pumped up and raring to do it.    Raaahhhhh! The weather was hot, but it was overcast and really cool in the park.  That is why I went for it.  If the flat had not happened I'd probably be posting 100 miles.   But I'm not too worried about not being able to do it.  Another day another ride.  Well all was going fine until I got to Horse shoe lake and Phtttttttttt.....flat.   Oh (#@3!?).   Oh well.

So I ended my bike ride with a nice 3.7 mile walk home.    The speedometer says 69 miles, but some of that is walking so if I'm not riding the bike I'm not counting it.   Did I mention I'm tired. Really tired.

Lot's of critters to be seen on the walk home.   A very beautiful big lizard with a black ring neck and blue.  A young buck, ground squirrels surfing along the grass, quail and about 5 vultures dining on a very smelly dead racoon.

On the walk down El Monte a UPS driver was driving so fast I was wishing he would tip over.
He drove way too close and fast to me and I was way off the road.   So yeah if he had tipped over I would have not mind one bit.

As soon as I got home I had some of my Zucchini frozen yogurt and I'm so glad I made it. It was so refreshing and tasted so good.  That really hit the spot.

41.6 WOW RIDE TO CENTERVILLE

Great ride with WOW! Yeah I'm in the middle and were's my bike?  It's on the side fence.

Oh and the lady all the way to the left watch out for her she is cannibalistic. On the ride she was sizing up the other riders and calling them carrots.  😁   So she might be a bunny disguised as a human.

Oh man am I feeling it in my legs, but it was a good ride with good people.   Had two dogs chase me, but nope there no way they could keep up.    On the way back now came around a corner and eeee gaaaa a semi truck was taking up both side of the road on a turn.  I think he stopped to let us go through.  That was kind of unnerving.

One of our ladies had a flat, but that was quickly taken care of.

I decided to do a Sprint on El Monte Ave which is exactly 0.5 miles long.   Got up to 25 mph and my hunger meter turn on at the end.  OMG!    No one caught me.  Snicker, Snicker.

About 4 of us stopped by Bellacino's Cafe for yummy's   That was nice.
THANK YOU!!😄  Kathryn  Hass for the coffee.  💓   It was delicious.

Tomorrow is a rest day.  Then Friday it's back to Centerville with another group ride.
