HOW TO BE YOUR OWN PERSONAL BAD ASS!

Rules to obtain your own personalized Bad Assdom in cycling.

1. Focus on what you can do and not what Chris Froome is doing and not what the guy around the corner is doing. The more you put your focus on someone else success the more you distract your self from your own.

2. Make you self small goals and stick to them.   If you are going to ride 5, 15 or 20 miles.  Do it.

3. Own the fact that you are in control of your brain.  Because it's going to work on you every day and come up with a million excuses to stop you. Focus and build up a mind set, instead of concentrating on the negative concentrate on the positive.  Make positive Signs if you must!  Do mental psyche up, before each ride.

4. You are the tree, do not be your own axe!  Mistakes and failure are part of learning, if you find your self in a situation were you didn't think you should have done something in a certain way, don't hold onto it.   This is why I suggest keeping a journal.  Write about each ride, the good and the bad, get it out on paper, instead of holding it in.  You will learn a lot.

5.  The haters are going to hate and your going to show them up!  Somebody sneers, says something, take it and use it as fuel.  Make there hate your power!  Making a hater eat there own hate is priceless.  Learn how to enjoy pissing your bullies off, when they see you doing what you do.  Believe me they hate being wrong.

6. Find something you can wear on a ride like clothing, key chain, bracelet, that is a visual reminder of how powerful you are.  When your feeling you can't go one, look down for that reminder.  This is if you ride by your self.

7. Listen to your body and know your limitation so you don't hurt your self.  This is a hard one and it's different for everyone.   I've ridden under the weather before and about 10 miles in I feel better, and some times 10 miles in I feel blah so I've turn back.  This is why journaling is important.

8. Have a blast, enjoy the ride, explore and be safe.  :)
