25.18 MILES & NUMBERS FOR THE MONTH!

Just thought it would be fun to show you my monthly views and were there from.
On the greater scale I'm not even a blip, but it's still interesting.  Each month is fluctuates pretty good with who in lead. And I learn of country's I've never even heard of.
What is my most viewed blog.  It's,  50.26 MILES KICK MY ASS & AVOCADO ICECREAM.  Say what?   425 views.   LOL     And I was a little disappointed.  The big scoop I got must have been from a new employee.  I took my hubby back and our scoops were so tiny and the guy even knocked the over hang off the cone so it was perfectly round.   What (?!)   I was like really dude... really.   Well It's still really good ice cream.

21.30 MILES & ONE MORE DAY!

Did the second half of my ride today, so I'm happy. 45.17 miles in all.  And I have one more day and only 16.85 miles to go to get to 1000 miles.

Taking a rest on the Bridge of Casadoom, no Balrog though.

The heat has lessened so tomorrow back to the Airport Crits.

 Smokey air.  :(

See the difference.  Same area.

23.87 MILES & A SMOKY MORNING

 Yeah really smoky this morning.

38.15 more miles and guess what I'll be done with my 1000 miles.  ;)
Was out doing laps back and forth and guess ran into a Kathy a friend from the WOW group.   So I joined her for a ride out to the covered bridge.
Going back.    I was not feeling snappy with the camera.

Wait what?   Art supplies?  I'll be Hosting my first paint and sip party on August 2nd.  We will be painting quail and flowers on wine bottles.

34.21 MILES, VERY HOT, HUMID,SMOKEY & MUGGY.

Yeah I'm not having fun frying right now.  It was really hot, but I wanted to go out here to see how much smoke was covering the valley lot's.   But as I sit here and type and the sun is setting it's even more apparent. The sun is literally red this evening.

Took a break at 20 miles and found these beautiful berries.  Bird berries. These are not for eating.   I have no idea what they are, but there pretty and in different stages.
I always wonder were tissue paper came from. LOL
Always a bridesmaid, but never a bride.

And the elderberries are ripe. Yes they're edible, but with a warning, you have to know how to prepare them, before eating or drinking the juice.  I'd rather stay away from them.   Lot's of people get so sick because they are ill informed and don't know how to prepare them.   And lot's of people get them confused with Poke berries and Poke berries are toxic.
 Beautiful to look at though.
 BEANS  No not edible.
This tree was loaded.
And also loaded with dried out beans with seeds.
Hello there.  Lady bug was hiding in the bean. And I could not get her off my hand, she sat down on my finger pulled all her legs in and was like uh uh no, I'm staying put.   Kind of like a snail does on a leaf thought out the day.   So I gently pried her my finger and put her on a plant.   Never had that happen before.   And if you didn't know, Lady bugs do bite, it's a pinch rather than a sting.
Ha look at the seed, they look like bean too. Pretty cool.
Oh yeah uhhgg now do you see why I like the park.  Leave the park and you get this.  Cadaverous green and the Yellow of death.
See the haze that smoke.  :(

33.10 MILES & LOT'S OF DEER

Hot and Humid.  Started my ride at 4:00pm.

Well the deer I saw on Chico Canyon Drive is the ma ma of the baby deer.   I came around the corner and ma ma and baby were hanging out.  Boy is that little one fast, it darted right into the bushes.  Ma ma was like oh it's you, and just kept grazing.  She's really mellow.

The count down begins.  4 more days and  114.93 miles to go.   If I want I can do 28 miles per day now to get to 1000 miles.

A tid bit from another ride that I forgot to mention.  I saw a guy carrying a tomahawk walking thought the park.  That was kind of scary, hope he was on his meds.    I made a extra huge circle around him.
I took this on the move, the baby has just exited stage left.

And that was not all on the other path towards the main road there was a very young buck, his antlers were so small, but there.  He look a little bit more skittish.

I do believe the fires are driving some of the wild life down from the hills.

41.05 MILES & STILL (@#&@*) HOT

This is my serious face, no smiling today it was muggy, hot and did I mention really hot.   Well I guess I stuck my foot in my mouth when I said it was going to be cooler, LOL.
I was like fuck it, I road anyway.
This was suppose to be a little bit of a rest day.. oh well.

Other wise there were a lot of animals out and about, so that makes the ride more enjoyable.
There has been a doe hanging around at the very end of Chico Canyon Rd, I rode pass her a couple of times, but today was the closest, I came around the corner going up hill and she was right there beside me, she jumped and went into the bushes.   Also lot's of Jack rabbits and I even saw a bunny.
Ground squirrels were also really out and about too, there funny to watch.  They will stretch out there arm and body and yawn or roll over.  The quail were all out to with vairous stages of babies ranging from new born to the pesky teenagers.
And then toward the end of my ride, I startled a baby fawn.  It was really cool to have the baby jumping right beside me on the bike,  I stopped and it jumped in front of me to pass and when into the bushes.  So cool.
But I didn't not stick around ma ma deer don't behave kindly to people messing with baby. This whole thing was over within minutes.
I don't know if you can see the haze from the fires, it was bad, but right now as I type it's even worst.

 Yes I was tired.
